At Future Secure India, we are committed to transparency and customer satisfaction. Insurance products are governed by the rules and regulations of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and the respective insurance company.
As an insurance advisor/intermediary, we do not directly issue policies or collect premiums unless authorized. All refunds and cancellations are subject to the insurer’s official policy terms and IRDAI regulations.
As per IRDAI regulations, every life and health insurance policy comes with a Free Look Period.
For policies purchased offline: 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy document
For policies purchased through distance marketing (online): 30 days from the date of receipt
If you disagree with the terms and conditions of the policy, you may cancel the policy during the Free Look Period.
If cancelled within the Free Look Period, the insurance company will refund the premium after deducting:
Proportionate risk premium for the coverage period
Medical examination expenses (if any)
Stamp duty charges
Any other applicable charges as per policy terms
The refund will be processed directly by the insurance company to the policyholder’s registered bank account.
If you cancel the policy after the Free Look Period:
Refund eligibility will depend on the policy type
Surrender value (if applicable) will be paid as per policy terms
Some policies may not offer refund in early years
Please refer to your policy document for complete surrender and cancellation terms.
For health insurance policies:
Cancellation requests must be made directly to the insurer
Refund (if applicable) will be on a pro-rata basis
No refund may be provided if a claim has been made during the policy year

However, the final approval and processing of refunds are handled solely by the respective insurance company as per IRDAI regulations.
Refund timelines depend on the insurance company. Typically, refunds are processed within 7 to 15 working days after approval.
